Selecting your address, using the Find An Address menu, personalises the Online Maps to make it more relevant to your location. Click on the down arrows besides the Find An Address heading to open the panel, enter your address information and click Find. If you do not know all the details just enter what you do know. A list of matching entries will be displayed, below the map, for you to make your selection. Select an address entry from the list and you will be asked if you wish to set this as your default location. Clicking OK will remember your address.
Once you have selected your address you will see it displayed as text above the
map and as an icon locating it on the map. Every time you visit, you'll be just
one click away from a wealth of information about where you live.
Note: Personalisation relies on cookies to remember your
address. If you can't get it to work properly, (your address is not remembered
each time you visit the site) it's probably because your browser refuses to
accept cookies. You can normally change this in your browser's options.
You can change your address by using the Find An Address menu again or remove it by clicking on the Reset link. This will also remove the cookie.
Now you have selected where you live let’s find your closest Primary schools
using the Find My Nearest menu. Click on the down arrows
besides the Find My Nearest heading to open the panel and
select Primary Schools. This will display a numbered entry on
the map with the corresponding list of details under the map. Clicking on the
Map link in the details list will take you to that school on the
map. If there is a More Info button then clicking this will
display additional information about the entry.
Note: If you cannot see the list either use the scroll bar or
make your map smaller by clicking on the Small Map link at the
top of the map.
